Pause. Prove. Protect.
A Royal Commission, Australian-made innovation, and a fair transition that protects land and sea.
Australia has legislated net-zero, but the crash rollout of industrial wind and long transmission lines is being sold without full truth on cost, ecology, or sovereignty. MEG8 stands for evidence over propaganda, oceans over optics, and Australian capability over imports.
3 Pillars (bulleted):
-
Royal Commission & Pause — Immediate pause on new wind approvals and a Royal Commission into energy supply and industry: real grid costs, firming, transmission routes, and independent marine/bird science.
-
Invest Here, Build Here — Fund local industry, research and innovation: dynamic household solar exports, community batteries, VPPs, and independently verified magnetic electric generators.
-
Keep the Lights On, Tell the Truth — Maintain existing coal stations during transition, recognising Australia is ~1% of global CO₂; be honest about global impact while we protect jobs, bills, rainforests, farms, and whales.
Our Mission
1. Reduce the cost of electricity production for Australians and call for a full audit of taxpayer-funded wind/solar projects, especially those approved under current energy policies that lack transparency and deliver poor outcomes.
2. Utilise existing transmission grid infrastructure already in place with the coal fired power stations to avoid unnecessary construction of transmission cabling and waste and maximise return on investment.
3. Pause & review large-scale wind/solar pending independent environmental assessments.
4. Protect land, seas, and wildlife with non-invasive generation technologies.
5. Enable ethical investment & collaboration (local and foreign) for Australian manufacturing.
6. Develop responsible policy for generation, distribution, and strategic investment.
Protecting Australia’s Land, Seas, and Wildlife
Australia’s unique landscapes and ecosystems are being irreversibly damaged by industrial-scale wind farms and solar arrays—often pushed through without genuine environmental impact studies.
Wind turbines are being installed in rainforests, threatening bird species and altering local habitats.
Offshore wind projects disrupt marine migration patterns and impact whale and dolphin populations.
Farmland is being covered with solar panels, reducing agricultural productivity and heating local microclimates.
MEG8’s approach ensures environmental stewardship by:
Halting destructive projects pending independent review.
Upgrading existing infrastructure rather than replacing it with ecologically harmful developments.
Developing clean, non-invasive energy generation through magnetic turbine technology—requiring far less land use and causing zero emissions during operation.

Proposed Transitional Energy Plan
Australia’s coal exports to countries like India—currently building more coal-fired power stations—prove that our domestic shutdowns have little impact on global emissions. In fact, Australia’s contribution to global climate change from continued coal use during a 2–3 year magnetic turbine transition period is negligible compared to emissions from China, India, and other developing nations.
The responsible path forward is to keep coal stations running safely during the transition, while redirecting investment toward the rapid prototyping and deployment of magnetic turbines. This ensures we avoid energy shortages, protect Australian jobs, and maintain affordable electricity prices for households and industry.
